another highlight was watching Carlton Cole do what Carlton Cole does best (or rather what he doesn't do best) and not getting stressed about him leading the line.

Watching him on Monday, it was incredible to think that he played 23 times for us last season

*shudders*

All round pretty perfect day to be a West Ham fan.

Seeing Sinclair and Di Canio playing again was very emotional for me.

Great day

Bellamy and Sinclair impressive. Game was played in great spirit with funny banter throughout, weather held out and THAT Ashton goal was superb.

Just needed Marlon to score to finish it off.

A fantastic day to kick off the run in to saying goodbye to UP

There's 1 hr 45 mins of the BT broadcast available - it's missing the first 20 minutes of the match. Misses Bellamy's goal, but does have Noble's and all the rest..

I have just watched a small Turkish tv channel that took the Adrian goal seriously saying it was one of the best goals ever seen on grass and that Adrian was very talented, although with respect the news man obviously knows very little about football.
Funniest thing was that it was not even mentioned that the game was a testimonial just that West Ham score great goal, HA.

My kids loved it, even though they know just a little about just a few of the All Star players, but I simply assured them, if all these players were in their prime.....with Brooking and Bonds as a management team, Bilic and his team would have had a real challenge on their hands.

Imagine that.

"Louisa Johnson" Ah that is who that was. The one people were mentioning on here a few months ago.

Nice voice to be fair.

Just had to echo a few sentiments on here regarding how great a day yesterday was. Summed up the great atmosphere and team spirit Slaven seems to have built at the Club and was great to see new and old players seemingly having a great time and injecting humour and fun into the proceedings,.

I must say (with claret and blue specs on) that both old and new seem a decent bunch and Chris Powell seems a right laugh.

Certainly didn't think I would see some of them in a West Ham shirt again. Brilliant day.

Great day yesterday! Making hundreds of thousands for charity, seeing my heroes and Louisa Johnson singing at half time for a bonus!
It all started when my Dad took me in the early 70's, we got dicked 4 or 5 to 1, by a Brian Clough inspired Derby and Sir Bobby was benched for going out on the piss at Blackpool. Took my son when he was about 6, and we both finished it off yesterday!

We stopped at Brentwood on Sunday evening, and if a pissed up bald guy chanting Paolo Di Canio, at The Bull pub, spoilt your evening then I apologise!

Sold - My last game over there was a proper game this season fella, not a kick about. And since you raised the subject,I'd rather fuck a chick with a dick over here than a fat pasty 50 something year old Essex bint, you poor bastard. No wonder you are always on here.

one thing I did learn yesterday is that I have always pronounced Tombides wrong!

Was very fitting for his brother to get on the score sheet and a very well timed run and well taken goal it was.

Tombides goal definitely got a few people choked up. It was the way you could see how much it meant to him, did well holding it together.

Johnson has a nasty case of something most if the times but I think yesterday the most sick person was Rodfarts !

Watched on the TV and it looked excellent.

Re the Tombides goal, it came across as a special moment all round as camera shots televised the crowd standing and applauding in a way that showed respect of the significance of the goal.

All round, made you very proud to be a West Ham fan.

Cannot wait to Saturday now and the Palace game.

Really feel that we may have a very big game in us and can really push on now.

However the West Ham fan of old in me whispers in the other ear and that a banana skin is on the way...
